Creating a new Desktop or a window from the working window or Desktop:

Windows Key + Ctrl key + D

This keyboard shortcut will help you to create a new Desktop or a window from the working window it self no need minimise the working window and open a new desktop.

Navigation Between Desktops or Windows/ Switch Between Windows:

Windows Key + Ctrl key + Right Arrow

This Keyboard shortcut key enables you to navigate between the Desktops or you can switch between the multiple windows present on the status bar.

For Closing the Idle Desktop Window:

Windows Key + Ctrl key + F4

This keyboard shortcut key helps you to close the idle Desktop window from any window. For example you are working on Desktop 2 and you want to close the Desktop 1 then you can close the window 1 by using this keyboard shortcut key.

Selection of Multiple Desktops or Windows:

Windows Key + 1/2/3/4/5/6,,,

  • 1 for first window or desktop
  • 2 for second window or desktop
  • 3 for third window or desktop

By using this keyboard shortcut key we can open the multiple windows icons present on the Taskbar. For example there is a Chrome icon, Mozilla icon, and other icons on your task bar, you can open them by using the above said shortcut key. For opening the first icon you need press windows key and 1 for the second one windows key and 2 and so on.

For Splitting the screen Between Desktops/ Windows:

Windows Key + Navigation Arrows ( Right, Left, Up and Down Arrows)

By using this shortcut key we can see or we can work on multiple desktops or windows by splitting the screen. This shortcut key enables you to watch and work on multiple windows at a time.

Switch Between Currently Opened Windows or Navigation B/W currently opened Desktops:

ALT Key + TAB Key

By using this keyboard shortcut key, you can take the screen shot of any opened Desktop or window.

Function Key + Print Screen

By using this keyboard shortcut key, you can take the screen shot of any opened Desktop or window.

To Open File Explorer:

Windows Key + E

By using this keyboard shortcut key, you can open the file explorer from any window.

To Lock your Desktop or Laptop:

Windows Key + L

By using this keyboard shortcut key, you can lock your Desktop or Laptop directly from any working environment.

To Unlock your Desktop or Laptop:

Windows Key + E

By using this keyboard shortcut key, you can unlock your Desktop or Laptop.
