How to Add Page Numbers in Word for Windows Platform?

  • Open the Microsoft word document, where you wanted to add the page numbers.
  • Now in that word document, select insert option from the main menu.
  • Now select Page Number option from the Insert menu.
  • After selecting the page number option, select the location and the style you want to apply.
  • For example, if you don’t want the page number to be appeared on the first page then select Different First page option.
  • Now, if you want start the numbering with 1 from the second page, then go to the Page Number > Format Page Numbers, and set Start at to 0.
